The Art Book for Untitled
My issue of Untitled Magazine is finally out, and it looks amazing! It was a ton of work (I really had no idea how much work putting a magazine together would actually be), but well worth it. Thanks to everyone for their brilliant contributions. Buy your copy here: Untitled - The Art Book

Miami, why do I have to leave you?
More posts here from the YSL shoot. I've realized on this trip that I'm just a warm weather girl through and through.

Siberia
Right now I'm reading the second part of the two part series "Travel in Siberia" in the New Yorker, written by Ian Frazier. The article is fascinating, things like.. there are 8 time zones in Siberia and it constitutes 1/12 of all land on earth. And apparently, from the looks of it in this photo by Carl De Keyzer, there are enormous snow horses.

Moving on up
While the rest of New York is vacationing in the Hamptons, Mike, Jim and I have decided to move our studio up the to 3rd floor of our current building. We plan this of course, during what feels like 1000 degrees of heat. With no AC unit installed yet, we have begun the complete build out of our new space, which will be custom designed by our good friend J the Architect. We've completed day one and two of what will be two weeks of moving madness. See the coverage of our move on the Ready-Made blog!

shoot in topanga canyon
Did a shoot with stylist Gena Tuso recently in LA. Right now we're in the process of trying to get the story published. Shooting on spec is hard but so worth it once you see the images out in the world. For now, here are some of the in-between shots... I'm really getting excited about getting back into shooting 35mm black and white film again.

I just found these old photos shot for Jane Magazine (RIP) a couple of years ago. The photos are of Caroline Prince, who is now my super talented main squeeze hair stylist.

Silent Movie, Tuvalu
I was thinking about this movie the other day. I saw it about 7 years ago, I had just moved to Mexico City and was drowning in Spanish. In the beginning, every day there was a struggle, just getting by took so much thought and energy, and I was constantly embarrassed by my inability to express even the simplest emotion. But there were moments, little breaks, when everything was quiet, and the language barrier faded away. Sitting around with friends, walks through La Condesa, brushing my teeth on the roof of my apartment. And Tuvalu kind of landed on my lap at the perfect time. No words, just a love story on a beautiful island. Directed by Veit Helmer.
