Brigitte just sent back the journal. This is what it looked like when it arrived. I was so excited I didn't open it for a while, just let it sit on my desk. It's getting so full and layered that on a few of the pages, I can't remember who made what.

Minneapolis

Mike and I are in Minneapolis this week. Sort of a vacation, sort of work.. he's giving a lecture at his old school. It almost feels like winter here.

Paris

Just got back from a trip to Paris for Bon Appetit. This is our last night of shooting, Bastien chain smokes while we wait to do our final shot. Story comes out in May 08.

Photos of Voxtrot at a bar in Brooklyn. The photos are so dark, and they haven't lived anywhere because of that. I love taking dark pictures every once and a while.

Lisha has been talking about these sand sculptures for a while. She almost went up to Syracuse to pick up the cylinders, and I almost went with her. This is the first time I've seen them. All day at the studio I couldn't help but talk about what they reminded me of. Mountains, sediment, storms. Petrified rocks. Layers of the earth. Andrew leaves for Paris in two weeks. We stopped by the stoop sale today to pick up a bookshelf, everything was a dollar. It felt like 100 degrees.

Wish you were there

Images from the Parking Lot Show at Sunset Junction this past weekend in LA - each artist got a moving truck to deck out. Brigitte and I have been working on these collages through the mail, and I'm crazy about how everything turned out. The big ones look like paintings. We gave away lots of goodies and we had so much fun. Guest appearances include Mouse, Tucker, Franklin and other mutts of LA. Wish you were there.

March in Washington

People have been asking if that little tamale is me. Although it very well could be me, hanging with the parents at a war protest in the 60's... It's not. I did however shoot the photo in D.C. at a protest march in 07. Big ups to Theo and Petlin!

First Entry

For some reason I feel the need to explain why I'm doing this blog. I've never been one for writing BIOs, but often think my site could use some sort of explanation of who I am or what I'm up to. So this is it. Blog self bio.

Finally got the PDNs in the mail. I got 4 emails from friend's saying they saw it the day it came out. I couldn't wait to see it... had one person tell me which images were printed, and one friend give me their password so I could read my interview online. Not quite the same as actually looking at it in my hands. But, finally, here it is... !!
