Paris

Just got back from a trip to Paris for Bon Appetit. This is our last night of shooting, Bastien chain smokes while we wait to do our final shot. Story comes out in May 08.

Lisha has been talking about these sand sculptures for a while. She almost went up to Syracuse to pick up the cylinders, and I almost went with her. This is the first time I've seen them. All day at the studio I couldn't help but talk about what they reminded me of. Mountains, sediment, storms. Petrified rocks. Layers of the earth. Andrew leaves for Paris in two weeks. We stopped by the stoop sale today to pick up a bookshelf, everything was a dollar. It felt like 100 degrees.
